Chapter Synopsis
Helmut initially loses his horse but finds it again, then stumbles upon a hidden hunting trap in the woods, despite hunting being forbidden on camp grounds. He tries to report it to an instructor, but the trap has been cleverly removed, leaving no evidence. This leads Helmut to conclude that someone is deliberately targeting him and attempting to intimidate him. Later, formal camp groups are formed and Helmut, though seemingly known by his peers, makes an attempt to report the trap situation.
