A new character, Duban, challenges Zeke and a historical overview of the academy is provided, culminating in the introduction of the Dean and a special class instructor, Andrei Draker. Zeke purposefully picks the wrong sword, prompting a challenge from Andrei.
Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with an arrogant student, Duban, challenging Zeke's behavior. It then transitions into an exposition about the Drake Academy's two classes: the rigorous normal class and the elite special class mostly made up of alumni of the Cradle. Dean Howard Draker, a war hero with a shady past, is introduced, followed by Andrei Draker, the Rose Knight, who is revealed as the special class's instructor. Zeke intentionally chooses a sword unsuitable for him, leading Andrei to issue a challenge which Zeke accepts, activating a special defense.
