Chapter Synopsis
A mysterious and deadly virus causing thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) is spreading rapidly in the slum region, leading to public panic and a quest being assigned to Raymond. Simultaneously, Rao, who was initially skeptical of Raymond, is shown to be a capable administrator also trying to investigate the epidemic but falls ill with similar symptoms. The chapter ends with Raymond realizing the seriousness of the situation and starting his epidemiological investigation.
