Meanwhile, Ell's grandfather, a powerful store owner, discovers Cilfir (Ell's mother) is behind a lucrative magic stone development and wants to lure her back, while acknowledging the issues her return would cause with the Crown Prince. Lastly, the group is nearly scammed by a warp gate operator but receive a discounted price due to Ell's quick intervention.
