Chapter Synopsis
Priest Marnak arrives at the mercenary guild and meets other priests, all while having a secret conversation with his 'mother' about his love for her. Upon meeting the other priests, Marnak is revealed to be a priest of corruption, not of preservation. Marnak is later summoned by Lord Tredon, who is revealed to be a demon posing as a human, and questioned about the death of his half-brother, Galad, the former mercenary captain.
