Chapter Synopsis

Bjorn is initially coerced into a research agreement with Allua Raven, a mage fascinated by the vampire essence he consumed, and attempts to shorten the research period. Meanwhile, the explorer's guild, having found Bjorn innocent of a false claim, offers him a promotion, which he rejects demanding more tangible rewards instead. Bjorn gets a large sum of stones from the guild for the trouble and decides to accept a favor from Allua that will help him get stronger.
