Chapter Synopsis
Deon Hart is repeatedly summoned by the Emperor, who this time tasks both him and Cruel Hart with eliminating a disruptive church, with the first to complete the task getting a wish granted. Deon is initially confused and overwhelmed by the bizarre sequence of events, including his own injury which he downplays. He also has odd encounters with Cruel and struggles with his role in the court.
