Chapter Synopsis
The chapter begins with the team summoning a Wicker Man, a golem-like magical weapon, to combat the powerful Mariette Dunaleff and her overwhelming ice magic. Mariette then activates a 'Realm of Blood' trap, creating a blood orb that steals the team's mana and blood. Despite the dire situation, Corin reveals he's planned for this, explaining the boss fight has distinct phases and that Mariette is not yet using her full power and he intends to exploit these phases to turn the tides, instructing his teammates on when and how to retreat. He reveals that the Wicker Man's power comes from old magic known only to druids and through the team members' special abilities.
