Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the newcomer being confronted by the master's disciples, who disapprove of him due to a perceived lack of morals and attempts to recruit the same individual they're trying to. A fight breaks out, or is about to, after they refuse to accept the newcomer's presence. The newcomer proposes a novel way to resolve the conflict: he'll accept the patronage of the guardian god belonging to the winning side in a fight. He also demands a high-value item as payment.
