Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the surviving members of the Hundred-Flower Valley of Sorrow Sect reuniting and planning to escape the mines, spurred by a fire they suspect was intentionally set. Their hopes are complicated by the arrival of the Poison Sect leaders, who reveal their true intentions: to consolidate power within the alliance by betraying its members. The leader of the Poison Sect also reveals that they plan on collapsing the mines, trapping and killing everyone. The chapter ends with the captured members of the Hundred-Flower Valley of Sorrow Sect deciding to start a riot to escape before the collapse.
