However, Fan collapses from overexertion and absorption of alien artifacts and is unconscious for three days. Upon waking, he discovers the monster outbreak is linked to a larger conspiracy involving a higher-up in the capital, and also that the Li family, who he believes were responsible for the outbreak, are considered victims, leading him to question the official narrative.
