Chapter Synopsis
The chapter opens with the aftermath of Thran's victory, as they declare their independence and announce their new king, Anthony Duval Agreta, much to the chagrin of the empire they were once a subject of. Simultaneously, at Avalon Academy, Professor Cain challenges the corrupt student council, Araxia, for their mistreatment of a student, Simmeez. He confronts not only them, but their powerful noble backers, leading to a tense standoff where even the intervention of Duke Agnus, who surprisingly backs the professor, occurs. The chapter closes with the emperor discussing the loss against Thran and placing blame on the lack of information rather than simply blaming Duke Altsma.
