The chapter begins with the protagonist being denied access to medicinal herbs and learning he's been made the lord of a garden with interconnected time-space gates. He's tasked to protect it, discovering it was abandoned for a century, yet its herbs have become incredibly valuable. He then learns of Jacheongbi, a powerful woman betrayed by her love, whose story serves as a warning. Finally the protagonist is brought to join the other garden lords.
