Chapter Synopsis
The chapter focuses on the new recruits at the Desolate Fortress and their introduction to the organization's inner workings. They are informed that they are not protected by imperial family's dignity, and must therefore grow stronger to survive the conflicts in the Jianghu. It's also revealed that the Desolate Fortress's main goal is to prevent large scale conflicts rather than directly serving the imperial family. The recruits are eventually assigned to the Radiant Demon Squad where they meet their captain and learn that the squads are similar to sects, and that missions are expected.
